Cyclist is a British road cycling magazine launched in November 2012, which reached the milestone of 150 issues last month, while also publishing across their website and podcast, in addition to their printed magazine. They cover the world’s best big rides, latest gear and apparel, history, reviews, pro cycling interviews and analysis. We are proud to have worked alongside them from the beginning!
Back in 2012, Tapestry partnered with Dennis Publishing who founded Cyclist Magazine. Danny Bird, Tapestry’s head of Photography, ran their in-house studio alongside an in-house reprographics unit and worked alongside their team to contribute towards the look and feel of the magazine which became the UK’s leading and best looking cycling magazine!
After Dennis publishing closed, the brand was bought by Metropolis Group, but we have continued to provide our Photographic and Retouching services from our Central London Studio and on-location, delivering a variety of work from Portraiture to creative Still Life.
Over the last 12 years some highlights have been shooting unusual bikes and their builders at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Salt lake City and shooting champions of yesteryear in Belgium, as well as the ongoing challenges of finding unusual creative solutions to illustrate various features and gear.
The magazine has a very loyal audience with circulation hitting 24,952 per issue in 2022! Their platform has also grown significantly online too. The brand now also sell their own merchandise and host track days and has become an amazing community within the sports industry.
We love working with Cyclist and are glad to be along for the ride!
