We are well versed at being the necessary conduit between the Brand, It’s associated design agency and also their final end supplier – the packaging printer.
The fine balance of delivering a piece of packaging to the designers concept can at times be a test for a printer to achieve with the limitations of specification, machinery, substrate, ink, special colours and finishing techniques. With a vast experience of print and the understanding of a designers vision, we at Tapestry act on behalf of the brand to give the best result that is physically possible whilst keeping communications throughout fully transparent with all parties.
Pre-production meetings with stakeholders and face to face briefings of projects are key.
With the front of pack master line-look created at the external design agency, Tapestry then produce the machine ready artwork to specification. This initially involves a Template process for brand consistency across the range, with the client approval key at this early stage. With working templates correct with production cutter guides we then start to implement the designers front of pack into the templates with the necessary adjustments fulfilled with image extensions and text and legal requirements. The Back of packs are populated also with legals, ingredients and imagery.
Once all content is in place we apply the relevant printing specification’s and proof for approval from the brand, the external agency and finally the supplying printer.
